Mood Classification
By definition, Simple Qualitative Analysis points out the basic mood of the article, and how that mood relates to other information. e-Media Worldwide uses accepted media analysis guidelines when classifying an article for clients, explained briefly below:
If an article sheds an overall positive or constructive view of the company product or other search criteria, or if the article projects a positive future view, it is classified as POSITIVE.
If the article discusses the company, product or other search criteria in a neutral or non-specific mood, or if the article uses the search criteria as a passing mention or indirect reference, it is classified as NEUTRAL.
If the article relates information about the company, product or other search criteria in a negative light, passes a critical view about the company product or other search criteria, or projects a negative future view, the article is classified as NEGATIVE.
